Working With the Local Community

Cultivating Community through Farm-Based Charity and Work Experience programs

Reach from the Gates

Extending our Reach from the Farm Gates

At Attwell Farm Park, our commitment to foster our social impact and community work is at the heart of everything we do. We firmly believe that our success as a farm park extends beyond our farm gates and encompasses our responsibility to contribute positively to the local community.

One of the ways we demonstrate this is through our work experience and placement programs, where we provide opportunities for individuals to gain valuable skills and knowledge in an educational, farm & tourism environment. By offering these placements, we aim to empower and inspire the next generation to consider careers in agriculture and related fields. Additionally, we actively engage with the community by participating in careers fairs, where we share insights into the agricultural & tourism industry and encourage young people to explore the possibilities it offers.

Furthermore, we recognize the importance of supporting charitable causes that align with our values. Through regular donations and sponsorships, we strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. Whether it's supporting local food banks, educational initiatives, or environmental conservation projects, we aim to give back to the community that supports us.

Moreover, we take pride in maintaining the cleanliness of our surroundings. As responsible stewards of the land, we go beyond our farm gates by taking the initiative to clean our lane of rubbish. This not only enhances the visual appeal of our community but also contributes to a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone.
By prioritizing our social impact and community engagement, we believe we can foster a stronger and more resilient local community. At Attwell Farm Park, we strive to create a positive and lasting difference.

Partnership with the Department of Working Pensions (DWP)

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Department of Working Pensions (DWP), which marks an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of local participants. This collaboration focuses on providing valuable experience in various facets of the recruitment process, ranging from interviews and performance reviews to CV creation. At Attwell Farm Park, we believe in equipping individuals with comprehensive skills, which is why we offer two-week placements where participants receive training across different aspects of our business.

Throughout their placement, our aim is to provide participants with a well-rounded understanding of our operations, nurturing their talents and helping them develop crucial skills for their future careers. At the end of the program, participants receive not only a valuable reference but also essential work experience that can serve as a foundation for their professional growth. When we have jobs available at the farm, we actively encourage candidates to apply for these exciting opportunities.

As disability confident employers, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We ensure that our recruitment processes and work placements adhere to principles of fairness and equal access, enabling participants of all backgrounds and abilities to gain valuable experience and grow their skill sets.

Through our partnership with the Department of Working Pensions, we are dedicated to empowering individuals, breaking down barriers, and creating a more inclusive workforce. By offering hands-on experience, mentoring, and a commitment to fairness, we aim to equip participants with the tools they need to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the professional world.

HOW College and Work experience

Work Experience & Supported Interships at the Farm

At Attwell Farm Park, we prioritize collaboration with local schools and colleges to provide inclusive internship schemes tailored to students and young adults with neurodiverse or additional needs.

Through these schemes, we offer valuable work opportunities that have proven to be transformative, resulting in successful employment outcomes on our farm. In recognition of our commitment to this program, we were honoured with the prestigious Heart of Worcestershire College Supported Internships Award in July 2023. This accolade serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication to creating a supportive environment where individuals of all abilities can thrive and achieve meaningful employment.

Through our valued partnerships with local schools, we offer a rewarding work experience program at the farm, providing students with the opportunity to gain practical skills in areas such as communication, animal husbandry, and customer service. We believe in the importance of hands-on learning and strive to create a supportive environment where students can develop their abilities and explore their interests.
