Job Title: Catering Manager

Location: Attwell Farm Park, UK

We are currently on the lookout for a dynamic and motivated Chef Manager to become an integral part of our team at Attwell Farm Park. In this senior role, you will not only be responsible for effective management but also actively engage in cooking within our medium-sized, fast-paced kitchen. Your culinary skills will play a crucial role in catering to our diverse audience, which includes both children and adults visiting our farm park.

The standard working hours are typically from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, and weekends extend from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Flexibility is required during busy/holiday periods to accommodate varying work demands.

Working days:

Monday – 08:00am – 17:00pm

Tuesday – 08:00am – 17:00pm

Friday – 08:00am – 17:00pm

Saturday – 08:00am – 18:00pm

Sunday – 08:00am – 18:00pm

During Peak times, such as Bank Holidays, Seasonal Events and Half terms, our opening hours may vary to suite the needs of the farm.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and cooking.

Place all future stock orders and maintain stock records, including rotating stock items.

Handle all necessary paperwork, including adherence to Food Hygiene and safety regulations.

Serve customers and visitors, providing excellent customer service.

Work with party hosts to prepare food for party bookings.

Carry out and oversee cleaning duties to ensure our high hygiene standards and reduce risk of cross-contamination.

Use the till system to handle payments, create new products and cashing up.

Coach and motivate the team, promoting a positive and productive working environment.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in running or managing a kitchen, with strong cooking skills & food hygiene standards.

Ability to work under pressure.

Excellent communication skills.

A strong team player.

Detailed knowledge and experience working with health and safety & food hygiene protocols in the catering industry.

Ability to interact with customers in a polite and professional manner.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during peak visitor periods.

Someone Passionate and Creative, to create new menu options, specials and seasonal themed dishes to suite events at the farm.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is a plus.

Level 2 & Higher Food Hygiene certification in line with UK standards

Proven track record of staff management and motivational skills.
