We have 2 female Tamworth pigs on the Farm Park who are the mothers to our growing Tamworth piglets. Tamworth pigs are easily recognisable due to thier orange colour. Our Tamworth pigs enjoy spending their days cuddled up, sleeping in their big straw beds.
We have 2 female Tamworth pigs on the Farm Park who are the mothers to our growing Tamworth piglets. Tamworth pigs are easily recognisable due to thier orange colour. Our Tamworth pigs enjoy spending their days cuddled up, sleeping in their big straw beds. The pigs eat special pig feed which they get every morning and evening. You will know when it is the pigs feeding time as they make lots of noise.
The 6 tamworth piglets we have on the farm are all females. Our piglets take after thier mothers and get very excited when it gets to feeding time. As with our mothers you will usually find the piglets all cuddled up sleeping.

Tamworths pigs are classed as vulnerable by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust therefore breeding programmes are important for the breeds survival.
The Tamworth pigs colouring is dark enough to give them resistance to sunburn
The Tamworth pig is thought to be the oldest pure English breed of pig
