Meet sonic our hedgehog!
Sonic, our charming hedgehog, we welcomed him into our care after he was brought to a vet practice by a kind member of the public. Sonic had been injured and, sadly, now has just three legs. The vets decided that releasing him back into the wild would not be safe, so we stepped in to provide him with a loving and secure home.
🏡 Petting Barn – Sonic can often be found resting comfortably in the Petting Barn, where he enjoys a peaceful spot to sleep. Hedgehogs are naturally nocturnal, so you might see him snoozing during the day, but keep an eye out for him in the evening when he's more active!
🦔 Nocturnal Creatures – Hedgehogs are mostly active at night, roaming around and foraging for food. During the day, they typically sleep in a cozy little nest to stay hidden and safe.
🦔 Prickly Protection – When hedgehogs feel threatened, they roll into a tight ball, using their spiky quills for protection. These spines help keep predators at bay!
🦔 Diet in the Wild – In the wild, hedgehogs are insectivores, enjoying a diet of insects, worms, and small invertebrates.
🦔 Sonic’s Special Journey – Despite his injury, Sonic is still a happy and active hedgehog, and we’re proud to give him a loving home at Attwell Farm Park!
