Head on down to the Rabbit Kingdom
Small rabbits, such as pygmy rabbits, can be as little as 8 inches (20 centimeters) in length and weigh less than a pound. Larger species grow to 20 inches (50 cm) and more than 10 lbs. (4.5 kilograms).
Rabbits love their food and enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet. The main part of a rabbit's diet should be unlimited amounts of fresh hay. But bunnies don't sleep at night and stay up during the day like humans do.
• Rabbits are social creatures and are happiest in the company of their own species. • A female rabbit is called a doe. • A male rabbit is called a buck. • A young rabbit is called a kit (or kitten). • Rabbits live in groups
