Meet our playful pygmy goats
Our Pygmy Goats were one of the very first animals we introduced to Attwell Farm Park when we opened in 2017! We started with just three goats, and today, we have a small, lively herd that brings endless fun and entertainment to our visitors.
🏡 Winter Months – When the weather turns cold and wet, our goats move into the Animal Barn, where their stable is filled with bridges and walkways for climbing and playing. They love to keep active, even in the winter!
🌿 Summer Months – In the warmer months, the goats return to their paddock along the Paddock Walk. They have their own play area, specially built for them, where they love to jump, climb, and play on their frames.
Feeding Time! – Our Pygmy Goats are one of the most popular animals for visitors to feed! We sell animal food in our shop, and if you’ve got some, they’ll be your best friends in no time. They also love a fuss and enjoy being petted.
🐐 Super Jumpers! – Pygmy goats are incredible climbers and jumpers, able to leap up to 4 feet high despite their small size!
🐐 Playful & Social! – These goats are very social animals and love playing with each other, which is why they’re always jumping, head-butting, and running around.
🐐 Picky Eaters? Nope! – While they’ll happily eat their food from visitors, pygmy goats are known for their curiosity and will nibble on almost anything – but don’t worry, they know what’s safe to eat!
🐐 Great Pets (With a Big Personality)! – Many people keep pygmy goats as pets because they are small, friendly, and full of personality.
🐐 Chatty Little Goats! – Pygmy goats love to “talk” and will often bleat to get attention, especially when they see someone with food!
🐐 African Origins! – Pygmy goats originally come from West Africa, where they were bred for their hardiness and adaptability to different climates.
