Meet Monty the Donkey!
Monty, the adorable young donkey, was born in June 2018 and is the son of Joy and Harry. He has grown up to be a playful, cheeky character who loves to interact with visitors. Monty shares a strong bond with his mum, Joy, and enjoys spending time with his companion, Harry. He’s often seen playing with Harry, getting up to all sorts of mischief! His cheeky antics make him a firm favorite with visitors.
🏡 Winter Months – Monty stays in the woodchip turnout area inside the Animal Barn, keeping warm and cozy with Joy and Harry.
🌿 Summer Months – When the warmer weather arrives, Monty enjoys the paddocks, where he loves to explore and graze.
🐴 Social Creatures! – Donkeys thrive in the company of others, and Monty is no exception! He loves spending time with his family and meeting visitors.
🐴 Vocal Communication! – Donkeys use a loud braying sound to communicate. Monty is still learning to use his voice to get attention!
🐴 Quick Learners! – Donkeys are highly intelligent, and Monty is always learning from his mum and the farm’s staff.
🐴 Stubborn but Sweet! – While donkeys can be stubborn, Monty’s sweet personality always shines through, and he’s incredibly affectionate.
🐴 Family-Oriented! – Monty’s bond with Joy is strong, and he often sticks close to her for reassurance and comfort.
