Paddock Walk

Explore the Countryside on Our Scenic Paddock Walk

Slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the beauty of the countryside on our Paddock Walk, a peaceful, family-friendly trail that winds through the heart of Attwell Farm Park. This open-air experience lets visitors see our animals relaxing in their natural paddocks while soaking up the fresh farm air and gentle rural views.

The Paddock Walk offers a closer look at everyday farm life. From cows grazing lazily in the sunshine to ponies flicking their tails and pigs snuffling in the mud, there’s something new to spot at every turn. Each paddock has been carefully designed to give our animals the space they need to move freely and comfortably, while allowing visitors to safely observe them in their outdoor habitats.

Whether you’re visiting with young children eager to spot their favourite animals or simply taking a quiet moment to connect with nature, the walk provides a calm, educational, and deeply enjoyable way to experience the rhythm of farm life. It’s a route that invites you to pause, listen, and appreciate the simple, authentic charm of the countryside.

Notices

Parental Supervision Please note we operate a parental supervision policy at all times. Please ensure you have view of your children at all times. Seasonal Operation The Paddock Walk may close or appear quieter during colder months when animals are moved indoors for their welfare. Respectful Behaviour Please stay on the marked paths, take care when feeding the animals, and do not climb fences. This ensures a safe and relaxing experience for both visitors and animals. Please note animals, no matter how domesticated, may still bite.

Features

Accessible Stone Track Paths Our stone-laid paths are wide, level, and easy to navigate, making the Paddock Walk suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs, and all ages. They’re designed for comfortable walking, even in wetter weather, so everyone can enjoy the experience year-round. Peaceful & Scenic Route The walk follows a gentle, circular path around the paddocks, offering clear views of the animals and the surrounding countryside. It’s the ideal place to take photos, observe, or simply unwind during your visit. Family-Friendly Experience The Paddock Walk is loved by families for its balance of learning and leisure. Children can see farm animals up close while parents enjoy the calm, open environment and safe, spacious layout. Seasonal Changes In the spring and summer, the paddocks are alive with activity as animals graze outdoors and the farm bursts into colour. During autumn and winter, animals move into the Animal Barn for warmth and care, so the outdoor paddocks may be quieter or temporarily closed.

Wheelchair & Buggy Friendly Smooth, level stone paths make this walk accessible for wheelchairs and buggies all year round. Clear Views for Everyone Our paddock fences are set at a comfortable viewing height and fitted with fine chicken wire, allowing clear visibility for all visitors — including children and wheelchair users — so everyone can easily see and interact with the animals.
