Our Journey

January 1963

Where It All Began

In the winter of 1963, Michael Attwell set the wheels in motion for what would become Attwell Farm Park. Starting with just a handful of chickens, he hand-built the first coop himself and began delivering fresh eggs to nearby villages — balancing crates on the handlebars of his pushbike. It was a humble beginning built on hard work, dedication, and a love for farming that would grow into a family tradition lasting generations.

Pedigree Livestock & Farm Expansion

By 1978, the farm had flourished beyond chickens. Michael expanded the farm to include pedigree livestock, introducing cattle, pigs, and sheep. A strong focus was placed on breeding quality — not just quantity — with the introduction of Aberdeen Angus cattle and specialist breeding pigs, setting a new standard of excellence for the farm. This marked the start of Attwell Farm's growing reputation in livestock farming.

Christmas & Seasonal Product Diversification

In 2003, Attwell Farm embraced a new seasonal tradition, becoming known for their free-range Christmas turkeys. Raising their first flock with the same care and high standards that defined their livestock, the farm quickly built a loyal following of local families who returned year after year for their festive centrepieces. This diversification marked an important chapter — blending traditional farming values with new opportunities to serve the community.
